finally getting around to posting pictures of the San Francisco adventure...we had a fantastic time together and it was a g
reat city filled with diversity and very unPennsylvania sites. we walked a whole lot during our visit, my toes were hurting! and yes, we walked the hills like in the pic...no public transportation for us and the cable cars were broken the day we finally decided to fit that in:(the shops were beautiful...notice i took a picture of a chocolate shop, feel my pain at my inability to not eat chocolate...ACCKK
seeing the people tour San Francisco on those Jobe contraptions(Arrested Development reference) was a real hoot...have to do that somewhere.
the public beaches were great...lots of people just hanging, of course, the nerdbomber i am, i go my jeans soaked as i went to touch the bay for good luck---that felt real great to walk in wet jeans:)
and then of course, we biked 12 miles across the Golden Gate Bridge...the sites were very impressive and looking out at the huge ocean liners and Alcatrez was amazing.
the one on one time with Dave was also a true highlight...yes, he had his best friend the blackberry the whole time as you can see in the pic, but he was rarely on it...most of the trip was just quality time.
so get to San Francisco when you get a chance and go to Boudin's in Fisherman's Wharf when you do...the best food in the world-i swear! *note* the pic of the basket of bread hanging from the ceiling is Boudin's---amazing, this is how they sent the bread from the bakery to the restaurant...
