so yesterday was Robby's Easter hat parade...we were excited about this event because of course, katie did it and it felt like a milestone for rob to have his parade also. he wore a hat that was borrowed from our good friends the Fuchs. krissy was shocked that i didn't make one for him on my own and to be honest, it really isn't like me but i was just so unsure of what to do for him- katie's was easy, flowers and bunny ears...but when i saw this cotton ball brigade, i just couldn't pass it up.
if you look really closely through the oversaturated photo at the top you will notcie that rob is wearing a different outfit. five minutes before we had to leave for school, he fell in a giant mud puddle and we had to change from head to toe...even his socks were muddy. i had tried to dress him in his finest- with kate, we would put on little dresses and look so pretty for events like this---it is just different with a boy- he is the most handsome of course, but it is not as fun to dress him.
when we drove up to school, Michael was perched at the driver's window looking around and enjoying the nice weather. the scene just made me smile so i snapped a few shots. he is such a quiet and loving little boy. i can tell he has so much to say...just wait until he starts talking.
of course, the parade was just adorable. the kids really weren't sure what all the hub bub was about...they are the only afternoon class so it was just the twelve of them...but cute anyway. i love watching rob do all of these things. it is so hard for me to think of him as anything but a baby...but now he is walking around telling everyone that he is almost four and he is going to play tee ball.
wow! a four year old and a six year old. what happened?
