nobody cares....

but I have to shout out that I LOVE THE OLYMPICS.

amazing.

i over use that word but really. The human story element of the Olympics is right up my alley.

it reminds me of this quote...

Mary Tyler Moore says..."Pain nourishes courage. You can't be brave if you have only had wonderful things happen to you."

i am so very attracted to the story and know that is why i got so head over heels about the scrapbooking a few years back. and now with blogging i don't have to scrapbook because i can type away happily here.

i love stories.

a few weeks back i gave krissy a bunch of katie's baby clothes (yep, we're having a girl) and i said, "if you want to know the story of all the clothes, i have them in my head."

and yep, that is my talent...i know the stories of outfits and tables and toys and who bought them and what was the circumstance and how did i feel...what a MUSHY gusHY i am...

when i look around any room in my house, i see tons of JUNK with stories.

i love garage sales because of the stories.

i love blogs because there are stories.

my pandora bracelet, a story behind every bead.

oh, my...i guess i have always known this about myself, but still...it seems so silly.

until then, i am off to live in my land of stories and drama.

Happy Thursday.

i heart josh duhamel

tonight i went to the movies with Michele . she is a wonderful person. i met her recently but i feel like i have known her forever. she is funny, loving and oh, so genuine.

but, i digress...because as much as i love Michele, i am blogging because we went to see "When In Rome" with Josh Duhamel. and i am simply infatuated with him. honestly, i was speechless through so many scenes that he was in because he is so very good looking. man, oh, man. needless to say, i was very twitterpated as we walked out of the theater.

it happened to be snowing and it reminded me of the night Dave walked me home after our first date. we saw Demolition Man. and Dave was wearing the hat that he was wearing in the picture above. and i laughed of course and said something to the gist of, "people will laugh at you if they see you wearing that."

and he said, "i don't care what people think."

and i think at that moment, i knew i would love him forever and i was doomed because being twitterpated is not always a good thing.

and here we are almost twelve years later, married with two beautiful kids and yes, being twitterpated is not always a good thing but overall it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. i love dave to the deepest depths of my heart and we have a wonderful, crazy life.

i mean, just look at my life....

a boy that brings a smile to my face no matter how crummy i feel. he always knows what to say to melt my heart.
a girl that is the most wonderful girl i have ever met on the face of this Earth. she is so full of life and love and embraces delight.
here they are before the school dance a few weeks ago...i mean, come on...they are beautiful.
and what do you have to thank for this gushy, mushy blog post?

well, josh duhamel of course....because he has gotten me all twitterpated and has made me wax sentimental.
wouldn't you wax sentimental after looking at his face for two hours?

Happy Valentine's Day

i love valentines day. love it. today i am feeling under the weather- but i will not let that stop me from sharing these fabulous pics from the Valentine show that Katie just performed for me.

children like kate and rob truly put into perspective how yucky graduate work and stomach and head aches are no reason to feel down.
so grandmom bought katie this tutu yesterday and she has been wearing it ever since...yesterday with a steelers jersey- today with nana's heels.

so cyndi lauper, huh?
had to get a close up of the heels and dave's sports socks. gotta love it.
and then...fun in the snow-- this was from Thursday of this week. caught a glimpse of this as i brought the tutu shots off the card--- this pic just makes me happy.
sliding down so plow hills-----oh, the captions i could come up with for this one if i was witty.
just put a soundtrack of massive giggles and guffaws to to this pic---rob was reenacting the luge.
and my beautiful deck--- i have promised my pittsburgh mom for so long to post pics....
so much snow-- it is CRAZY....seems like it will be here for a long while ---- but here is my deck

i have been hesitant to post photos because the deck is SOOOOO beautiful and my siding is so gross- i hate to have the photos up when the house isn't perfect like the deck but....

if you live in the area, be sure to contact me for info on this contractor. Pat Maholtz is a genius.

Sure to be the place i spend most of my time at this summer if i am not at the pool. i have waited for this for a long, long time.
just wish the snow would clean up my dirty siding...

snowy dreams to you all...

beautiful flocked trees from my porch
perfect snowball snow----and my sparky neighbor...

the view of my street- a favorite view with no cars no matter what season
katie with the start of a snow caterpillar
my bobbers with another part of a snow caterpillar
and here the snow is getting heavy and ready to ROCK--- dave snowblowing a neighbor's drive, the kids having a snowball fight--- lots of chaos-- a happy, happy scene.

i love snow. i love snow days. i love when school is canceled and the kids are home and i am home and we are just in a land of dreamy snow and let me tell you--- right now we are in a snow globe...

and now- sleep time
