Part 1of Back to School

the stage was set...the day we had been anticipating for a while was here. and my baby was stepping off to second grade. yes, what i am going to say next is cliche but...where did the time go?
and here are my peeps, these four children bring me ample amounts of happiness each day. and have become truly inseparable. on the way to school, the three with school bags sat together. like peas and carrots in the bus seat together.

and on the way home when my bobbers was riding with them (he is PM kindergarten) the four of them nestled into one seat. when asked why they didn't sit two and two, they said they did not want to split up. ahhhhhhhhh.
here is my girl and my love. notice, katie's hands---clenched with excitement and nerves. she is such a little replica of her mama.
and here are my two very, very handsome men. oh my, can you imagine being surrounded by such handsomeness each day? i know, i am darn lucky.
kate made this for the first day of school...it was an assignment. she had to create a collage all about her. she is my very favorite scrapbooker.
and oh my, bestill my beating heart. my boy dressed himself for the bus stop. a few hours after this, he cried when i told him he had to change for kindergarten--- but that is a different story.
and then, the moment came. this moment was way too much for this momma.
oh my...this is where kisses were given and i wanted to yell, "please don't leave me. i am going to miss you. please, i need you here with me." but instead, i said, " have an awesome day." and i smiled and waved and my babies didn't know that i was a hot mess. i swear they didn't. i held it together.
