a great visit from Delaware...
last Sunday, Alex, Stephanie, Maddie, and Jake came to meet Baby Michael. Despite the rain, we had a lot of fun. When the four Schanberger girls get together we are like a Crazy Symposium and it was very interesting to take a step back and watch Stephanie's reaction to all this. She kept looking at Alex and laughing and Alex kept shaking his head. Loved that.
the kids played really nicely together. Jake and maddie are such well mannered, sweet kids. And Dave and Maddie got to bond over Webkinz. We promised to send her expensive gifts all the time for her Webkinz but the very next day, Dave's account was shut down by GANZ. See what happens to cheaters? Poor little Hopalong.
it was a great way to spend the day. hope they come back soon.
these two pics of Katie and Robby and Nolan are from one of our babysitting days. The kids are absolutely enamored with their two new cousins. They talk about them all the time. They want to see them everyday. They want Mommy and Daddy to have another baby. Katie asks if

happiness is such a blessing
When we moved into this house, the previous owner kept saying, "I am going to miss this house so much, so be sure you fill it with love." I loved hearing this from her and I must say...this house is filled to the brim with love...to the very brim.
And I am so very aware of how blessed I am...
Here are some pictures that make me happy.
Hershey Park Happy!
Haven't posted in what feels like a long time. This week has been crazy busy and I can only attribute it to the fact that summer is quickly coming to an end and those lazy days have gone. I am definitely in high gear with getting little increments done each day in preparation for preschool teaching. And the rain has caused us to be indoors all day so for some strange reason, I don't feel I can take pockets of time to post. Instead, I have been organizing, cleaning, playing with the kids indoors, getting deadline projects done, etc.
But now for Hershey Park...
We are huge Hershey Park fans. This year we had fun posing pictures at the end of the tour. OF course, we did not buy the photo...instead, we took the picture of our photo displayed on the screen.
And I am also posting pics of the end of the day/end of our vacation. Dave was exhausted. I was so tired, I was in a manic state...see my crazy look?...and the kids were still going strong.
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Favorite CAmping Pics
Out of all the pics I took, these are my very favorite for all types of reasons. We had such a great time at Lake In Wood Campground. Love the pne of Dave palying with the light stick...love the one of Robby saying, "NO MORE PICS." love the one of Katie realxing with a book and a snack.
GREAT TIMES...

Movement
Robby is a jitterbug-constant movement...these pics from vacation delight me because they so capture his spirit.
Don't change my boy...love your spark.
make sure you double click on the one where Rob is standing behind Dave...he is off the ground in this one--you must see it up close---too cute for words.
Strike a Pose
Katie has taken to be an aspiring model. She has been "striking a pose" often---even when there is no camera.
I don't know anyone like her---so glad she is mine.
Where has she learned this? Not sure. We don't watch anything but PBS, Noggin, and ocassionally Huckleberry Hound on Boomerang and I am certainly not posing around the house. All the same, it tickles me.
Here are some examples from our vacation...
Yes, vacation pictures...it finally feels right to post some...went through all the pics this morning and have four different categories from the vacation to post.
Happy Sunday.

A tribute to Mom Mom and other lovely stuff...
Are these photos of my vacation? No! Where have I been? Here. But, I haven't had time to sit and reflect and when I have I don't feel like posting so I haven't. I don't want this blog to be a chore. It is plain and simple=- MY FUN PLACE.
So the vacation photos are coming. There are many, many, many that I want to share. For now, I have to share these. Look at my grandmother, the most wonderful woman I have ever met. Hands down, I will never meet anyone else like her. She is loving, makes everyone feel comfortable, she knows what is important, she is just the best. My mother is just like her...I am one lucky chica.
And my boy, this is his new pose...covering his face...there is no boy that is cuter.
And baby Michael...how I miss him. It has been a full week since I have seen him and I can't wait to kiss his sweet little face.

This is how i will start my art journal...
I am going to start an art journal...the issue? where to begin? do you just have random pages that you bind together or do you buy a book and play in it?
this pic above was drawn by Katie---it is a crayon tree. she is simply amazing to me...i love her style and freedom in her ART. in short, i want to be just like her.
so, send me some suggestions.
maybe this drawing will go in my Maria Grace album...hmmmm.....
i guess i should ask Katie first.

Thank you, Mom
My wonderful mother surprised me with the beautiful orange duck in this picture. Isn't he just perfect? His name is David and I think he looks smashing next to Bella.
These ducks are beautiful...I really could just fill my house with them. I feel happy each time I look up at my two ducks together. What a lucky girl I am. Thank you so much, Mom.
That Smith & Hawken really knows how to do things right, don't they? I could just live in the store.
We are off for camping tomorrow so I will have lots of pictures when I get back.
Happy Thursday.
Ohhh, by the way, Robby told me the other day at Sam's Club that he became an adult when he turned two so he can go to the men's room by himself.
He is very aware when we are out that he has to go into the women's room. You should have heard my little boy rationalizing with me outside the door. I had to smile and them promptly push him into the women's room with Katie and I.
Gotta love it.
